Join in the Fun - Sign on to be a June is Rec Month Supporter!
If you are planning to host an event in June, join in the fun and sign up to become a June is Recreation Month supporter. Supporters are communities, schools, groups and/or businesses that agree to host events and/or promote June is Recreation Month. RNS provides all supporters with great giveaways including 10 JRM frisbees or bomerangs, 10 JRM posters and 100 bookmarks. Supporter groups and their events will be posted on the RNS website.

Regardless of ability or age, Nova Scotians are enjoying recreation in an increasing number of ways, and this year's theme recognizes that recreation activities do not have one definition. Activities of all kinds, not just physical, is acknowledged and celebrated. Involvement in recreational activities leads to a healthy lifestyle and contributes to a healthy Nova Scotia. Whether it be lawn bowling, running marathons, photography, taking a walk in a park, reading a book, learning a new instrument, playing soccer or star gazing - recreation is about celebrating life, everyday. .
