'I Love Water Polo' (ILWP) is an introductory, grass roots water polo program for boys and girls ages 8-12 (easily adaptable for teens or adults). It is community-driven, offering four levels of skill development. In a learn-to-play environment, similar to swimming lessons, participants discover the game of water polo. Non-contact play with adapted rules applies. Instructors are trained through an 8-hour NCCP certification program. No water polo experience is necessary to become an instructor, making it ideal for lifeguards and swimming instructors. ILWP works in both outdoor and indoor settings.
