Attention Recreation Nova Scotia Members and Partners
We ask that you read the following call for nominations for the Recreation Nova Scotia (RNS) Board of Directors. Please feel free to share this information to those who may have an interest.
What: The Recreation Nova Scotia Nominations Committee is seeking nominations for the following board positions available for November 2010- November 2011:
President Elect (1 year term, plus 1 year as President, and 1 year
as Past President)
VP Board Monitoring (2 year term)
VP Finance (2 year term)
Recording Officer (1 year term)
Director At Large Student Representative (1 year term, nominated by
students)
Director at Large (2 year term)
Director at Large (1 year term)
Director at Large (1 year term)
Who: We are looking for individuals from various backgrounds and skill sets who have a keen interest in recreation and who possess the dedication and energy to compliment an already dynamic board of directors.
When: Nominations must be sent to the membership 14 days prior to the Annual General Meeting being held on November 19, 2010 in Halifax. We are asking nominations be submitted by September 17, 2010 to the Nominations Committee Chair, Brenda Robertson (contact info below). Nominations will also be accepted from the floor at the AGM.
Why: This is a terrific way to be involved in a vibrant and relevant organization dedicated to improving the health of Nova Scotians through recreation. We need you to help us make a difference!
