Sunday, September 5, 2010 - The 2nd ANNUAL BUTTER TRAIL “FUN RUN” will be held once again on Labour Day Weekend! Motivation, a sense of accomplishment and community spirit: you can achieve all of thse by joining us for the 'Fun Run". Last year, more than 80 people participated, ranging in ages from 6 - 70, from all over N.S. and N.B., along with over 30 volunteers.
Walk or jog, this event is for everyone. There will be a 5 and a 10 kilometre run to choose from. The start & finish are at the North Shore Recreation Centre and the route is along the spectacular and scenic “Butter Trail” section of the Trans Canada Trail. It is all about having fun and improving our health.
All proceeds go to the North Shore Recreation Centre (last year $1000 was raised for health & wellness programming at the multi-use Rec Centre). Registration fee is $20 for adults and $5 for youth (18 and under).
