Information for potential participants in a Move More workshop
What do I need to know?
WHO?
Move More is a program geared towards adults aged 18 and over who are not active or not currently meeting the minimum health standard of daily physical activity (defined as 60 minutes of physical activity every day).
The new Move More for Active Aging program, released in March 2010, includes information and handouts specific to older adults. If you are taking a Move More course and are interested in these active aging materials, please talk to your Move More Leader.
WHAT?
Move More is an educational workshop that provides basic information on physical activity and how to build it into your daily life. As well, participants will have the opportunity to sample new and fun physical activities in their community!
Upcoming Move More Courses:Please contact your local More More Provider or municipal recreation department for information on upcoming courses in your area.

WHEN?
Move More is an eight week program, with one 1 to 2 hour session per week. During these sessions, participants can expect to sample a new activity for at least 30 to 60 minutes. Session times may vary depending on the Provider, on the physical activity for the week, or the needs of the participants.
As well, Move More programs will be offered all year long! Great for keeping you active in the winter, or out of the hammock on those lazy summer days...
