Making Tracks: Cycling Leader Training Session

Making Tracks: Cycling Leader Training Session with Expert Trainer, Adam Berry

This session will provide adults and older youth with the safety knowledge and skills they need to lead the Making Tracks cycling program with youth and children in their community.  It will also provide participants with the tools to become more confident, knowledgeable and skilled cyclists.  Topics covered will include safety, preparedness, rules-of-the-road and etiquette, technical skills, equipment maintenance and community route planning.  At the end of the session all of the skills participants have learned will be put into practice with a pleasant community route ride.

Date: Saturday, November 4th

Time: 9am-5pm

Location: Dalhousie University, Room TBA

Required: Ability to ride a bicycle; a bicycle and properly fitted bicycle helmet; suitable clothes for the weather; a lunch to eat on site

Fee: No fee, but pre-registration required
