RNS Conference Highlight: Canadian Tire Jumpstart 'Access to Recreation for All' - Dinner and Panel Discussion

On Thursday, November 18th, as part of Recreation Nova Scotia's 13th Annual Conference and Trade Show, Canadian Tire Jumpstart will host 'Access to Recreation for All' a dinner and panel discussion on the ways in which barriers are being broken so that all children can have access to sport & recreation opportunities.

A facilitated sharing session will take place during dinner. Recreation Directors/professionals from across the province will talk about their success stories when partnering with Jumpstart in breaking down the barriers of access to funding and equipment. A panel with representatives from the Active Living Alliance for People with Disabilities, Halifax Regional Municipality and a parent of a child with a disability will share the ways in which other barriers are being broken down.

Delegates will have time to share their stories with others at their tables and be invited to share with the entire audience, via microphone if they wish.

Canada Regional Games

Regions will represent different Canadian Provinces as they battle for the regional games trophy by competing in Glow Parties Wacky Olympics. From opening ceremonies to the medal presentations, this year promises to have something for everyone!!
